ABOUT

Media Burn Archive is a 501(c)3 nonprofit in Chicago that collects, produces, and distributes documentary video created by artists, activists, and community groups. The founder created two PBS series: The 90's and Image Union

This internship was in collaboration with Studio Institute's Arts Intern program, a New York based organization which provides early-career opportunities nationwide for skilled college students interested in museum careers.

ROLE

I updated & coded three webpages using HTML/CSS, which made it easier to access the company's TV show series. The pages are still in use today!

I also took charge by producing, filming, and editing a video of a tape-deck repair. It gained 200 Youtube views, and I pitched this project after completing my research and coding tasks!

I regularly adapted Media Burn's >1 hour archival footage into blog posts and/or short-form videos, which totaled 600 views. At the end, I also created my own 50 minute long-form documentary.
